Company Description

Stony Mountain Farm is a small-scale farm and homestead located in the picturesque Squamish Valley roughly 20 minutes north/west of Squamish, BC. What started as a hobby in quickly turned into a passion when we welcomed our first laying hens back in 2008!!! We believe in raising all our animals respectfully, allowing them to interact in a natural setting, exhibit natural behaviors and live happy, healthy lives. We currently raise free-range laying hens which we are currently in the process of expanding to our permitted amount of 399. From May to September we raise free-range turkeys available for Thanksgiving and Christmas and from April to October we raise small flocks of free-range chicken. We also have 3 saanen/angora goats that will be bred in the fall of 2014 and in the summer of 2015 we plan to have a small line of goat’s milk soap available. We have also acquired breeding stock of Large Black pigs, a heritage variety known for their docile personalities, “old world” flavored meat and exceptional bacon!!! Sides of pork available late 2015.
