Who is the Chamber of Commerce?

Your Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization with a volunteer board of directors comprised of businesses, professionals and residents.


What does the Chamber do?

The basic responsibility is to organize and execute the Chamber’s activities to meet the members’ requirements. It is a voice for business and proudly promotes Houston as a great place to live, work and play. The Chamber is a catalyst, in other words, instead of doing all the work in the community
it encourages the community to work for itself.


Who finances the Chamber?

Your Chamber is a “Business” and it incurs costs as well as operation expenses similar to that of other types of businesses. Those expenses are funded by the memberships, “Fee for Service” contracts and fund raising activities.
