I was recently hired for a position at the garden centre, but unfortunately my experience was very disappointing. From my first day, I felt unwelcome and unsupported. The team primarily spoke among themselves in a language I did not understand, which made communication and integration extremely difficult. I received no training or guidance on my role or responsibilities. When I attempted to contribute or ask questions to be helpful, my supervisor made it clear that my input was unwelcome and that I was overstepping or challenging her authority. Instead of receiving support, I felt isolated and “hung out to dry.” Regrettably, the lack of onboarding, team inclusion, and basic professional courtesy left me feeling discriminated against. I would not recommend this workplace to anyone seeking a supportive and professional environment.
