Saik'uz First Nation is a Dakelh community a short distance from the geographical center of British Columbia. The name Saik'uz is derived from the Dakelh (Carrier) word 'on the sand' and refers to the sandy soil upon which the main community is located. The main community, Reserve No. 1 is located on the east end of Nulki Lake on Tachick Lake 14 km south of Vanderhoof, BC.r possim assum.
